Landlord Gas Safety Certificate

It is a legal requirement for Landlords to maintain appliances and flues which are provided for tenants.

An annual safety check must be carried out by a GASSAFE approved engineer (formerly CORGI). Where upon a certificate of compliance will be issued.

A typical safety inspection by our engineers will include the following checks to ensure that appliances are safe to use and meet legal requirements.

• Appliance operating within manufactures gas pressure requirement.
• Correct operation of devices
• Provision of adequate ventilation
• Visual examination of flue systems
• Flue flow tests
• Spillage tests
• Satisfactory flue termination
• Appliances are safe to use

Once the appropriate checks have been made a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate will be issued, covering the following information:

• The date and address of the examination
• The landlords details
• Description and location of appliances
• Recognition and recording of any defects.
• The name and signature of the gas operative and the GASSAFE registration number of the engineer.
